When Limitation Becomes Prison
I learned to hate the way I was created at an early age.
Not just my speech—my voice tone, my skin tone, everything about me felt wrong. My anger was
explosive. The frustration of being trapped inside my own mouth, desperate to express thoughts
that raced through my mind but couldn't escape—it came out as rage.
Reading out loud in school sent my anxiety through the ceiling. I was brilliant at math,
teaching myself skills beyond my grade level. But I was treated as though I was stupid because
fluent speech was the only intelligence anyone measured.
The depression that gripped me in those years taught me a single, devastating lesson: I was not
enough. I would never be enough. The world had no place for someone like me.
By high school, that depression had become a death grip on my heart.
Sharp pains shot through my body every time I tried to speak. The thought of picking up a phone
sent me into panic mode—all the life sucked out of me the instant I heard the dial tone.
I was a slave to fear. My inability to speak was the master of my life. Every decision, every
interaction, every breath was manipulated by the prison I couldn't escape.
An outcast. Alone. Broken. Hopeless. Worthless.
"Why am I so weak?" became the soundtrack of my internal world.
When You Choose to Face What Terrifies You
But I didn't give up.
Something inside me—stubborn, defiant, unwilling to accept defeat—made a decision.
If the phone terrified me, I would make the phone my profession. My first job? Telemarketing. I
lasted two months before the stress nearly destroyed me. But I did it.
If public speaking was my nightmare, I would make it my calling. Out of all the careers I could
have chosen, I decided to become a public speaker.
I was proving every expert wrong. Every pathologist who said I'd always stutter. Every teacher
who treated me like I was slow. Every voice in my head that whispered I wasn't enough.
I was rewriting the story they tried to write for me.
But then depression found me again.
This time, it almost won. I had two beautiful boys. A life that looked successful from the
outside. And I wanted to end it all.
The pain wasn't about the speech impediment anymore. It was about something deeper: the beliefs
I held about myself. The lies I'd internalized so completely that I couldn't see the truth
anymore.
I saw myself as weak. Not good enough. Hopeless. A failure.
But I was operating from a wrong mindset. Seeing everything through distorted lenses. Living out
beliefs that were never true.
And in the darkest moment, when I was closest to giving up forever, something shifted.
I realized: My speech impediment wasn't my curse. It was my gift.
When the Prison Becomes Your Power
The same struggle that nearly destroyed me taught me how to be strong.
It taught me courage when the world felt hostile. It taught me bravery when every conversation
was warfare. It forced me to look impossible odds in the face and choose to overcome them
anyway.
Most importantly, it taught me a truth that would become the foundation of everything I do
now:
Your mindset is everything. A person's destination is based on their
beliefs.
The limitations you face right now—whether it's a parenting pattern you can't break, an
emotional cycle your child is trapped in, a mental barrier sabotaging your performance, or a
business ceiling you can't seem to shatter—those limitations aren't permanent.
They feel permanent because you're seeing them through the wrong lens.
When I changed what I believed about myself—when I chose to see myself as strong, victorious,
capable, an overcomer—everything changed.
Not because the external world shifted.
Because the internal world transformed.
And I discovered something profound: the same tools that helped me find my voice could help
anyone break through any limitation.
I watched these principles:
• Help young athletes demolish performance plateaus
• Help parents heal relationships with their children
• Help kids master emotions that once controlled them
• Help business leaders break through invisible ceilings
• Help families shatter generational patterns of dysfunction
This wasn't just my story anymore. This was universal truth.
And I realized: This is what I was born to do.
The Mission—Empowering Generations to Choose Differently
My childhood gave me X-ray vision into the battles people face that no one else can see.
I know what it's like to:
• Feel fundamentally different and wonder if you'll ever belong
• Have immense potential locked inside limitations you didn't choose
• Want desperately to improve but not know how
• Face judgment from people who don't understand your journey
• Need someone who believes in you when you're struggling to believe in yourself
That's why I work with parents, young people, athletes, and business leaders.
Parents who are done repeating the painful patterns their parents used. Ready
to lead their families with emotional intelligence and conscious awareness. Ready to become the
parents they wish they'd had—raising children who won't need therapy to heal from
childhood.
Young humans from infants to 18 and beyond navigating developmental stages,
overwhelming emotions, and life transitions. From helping babies regulate their nervous systems
to guiding young adults through identity formation. Learning to master their inner world instead
of being mastered by it. Building unshakeable confidence from the inside out.
Individuals and couples seeking love and relationship mastery. Singles ready to
understand patterns, break cycles, and attract aligned partnerships. Committed couples wanting
to deepen intimacy and create extraordinary connection. Anyone ready to transform how they show
up in all relationships—romantic, family, friendships, and professional.
Athletes with the physical talent but needing the mental edge. Ready to show up
as their best selves under pressure. Developing championship mindset alongside physical
skills—because talent alone doesn't win championships.
Business leaders whether hemorrhaging money or thriving at seven figures—both
stuck because the real problem isn't strategy. It's the foundation. It's communication. It's the
inner state of the leader that defines everything.
I see you. I understand the battle you're fighting. And I know the way through.
Not theoretically. Viscerally.
The Philosophy and Promise
"I'm Choosing To" isn't just a business name.
It's the exact moment where transformation begins.
It's the instant you stop being a victim of your circumstances and start becoming the architect
of your reality.
It's when you recognize the most powerful truth in the universe: You have
choice.
Parents can choose to respond differently than their parents did.
Young people can choose to master their emotions instead of being mastered by them.
Athletes can choose championship mindset over self-doubt.
Business leaders can choose transformation over tactics.
Families can choose connection over control.
Every breakthrough—mine and every single person I've worked with—begins with recognizing that
fundamental truth: We. Have. Choice.
This philosophy transformed me from a boy who couldn't speak into a man who helps others find
their voice, their power, and their purpose.
My promise to you:
I want you to have authentic inner transparent confidence.
Not the kind of confidence that depends on external validation or perfect circumstances.
The kind that comes from knowing who you are at your core. The kind that remains unshakeable
regardless of what life throws at you. The kind that flows from deep inner alignment and nervous
system regulation.
I don't create dependency. I create sovereignty.
I equip you with tools. I teach you principles. I mentor you through the process. And then I
watch with profound joy as you become completely self-sufficient in your transformation.
You are not broken. You never were.
You're a masterpiece discovering itself beneath layers of limiting beliefs, painful patterns,
and inherited dysfunction.
Your breakthrough isn't coming someday.
It's available right now.
The only question is: Are you ready to choose it?
Because I chose. Life kept throwing punches, but I refused to stay down.
The experts said I'd always stutter.
I became a public speaker.
They said I'd never overcome.
I chose transformation as my life's work.
They said limitations were permanent.
I proved that mindset changes everything.
Now I'm here to help you choose differently too.
